NYFW Look – Layering For Fall

Hello darlings,

Although the first day of Fall is in a few days, we’ve been transitioning for the last couple of days and weeks in some areas. New York City (NYC) is one of those places that has gotten cooler since they experience all four seasons unlike Houston. Just like Spring, Fall is one of my favorite seasons because I love the coolness (not cold), change in colors of the leaves and the fall fashion that comes alive but I dislike the cold, darkness and dullness that comes with Fall as it later transitions to Winter.

One of the ways to transition your look into Fall is with colors and by layering. During NYFW I layered alot and added many Fall colors like olive green, orange, red, burgundy, yellow, purple and brown to my outfits.  For today’s look, I wore a cream-colored dress with rock stud details and a high neck and 3/4 sleeves. Next I layered it with a long vest and accessorized with burgundy shoes and a handbag. For Fall, you don’t have to do a complete wardrobe change, you can always wear your summer items like sundresses, maxi dresses and rompers, but layer it with a vest, sweater or jacket. Then you can trade in your flip flops and sandals for booties and boots. You can also accessorize for Fall by using hats, barrettes, scarfs etc. and make sure you incorporate Fall colors while doing this.
