Happy Friday Y’all!

Has it been a long week or what? I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to turn in my Nurse Practitioner hat, kick my shoes off, put my feet up and hit the off switch. Doesn’t that sound like the best thing you’ve heard? I’ve had a very long week and today is actually going to be the longest day for me, but I’m super excited that hubby and I are going away to the Lakeside for a few days to get some rest and relaxation.

I spend so much of my time and energy taking care of other people and never myself, but as I get older, I’m learning to make time to unwind, and just take care of ME. I also try to do things that excite me, inspire me and renew my energy and zeal for life. Sometimes, people will want to make you feel guilty because you’ve decided to take care of YOU. Do not let them! Do you know what I say to people like that, (LOL) Absolutely Nothing!  Before I’d catch myself explaining my choices to people because of the judgmental undertone in their voice, but now I no longer feel the need to apologize for my choices.

So, blogging is one of those things that I enjoy doing. I love to share, from talking, to writing poetry and creating content for my blog. Hence, in the spirit of sharing, I’d like to just put it out there that I love a good deal. I love leaving a place knowing that I paid less for what it’s worth (SMH). I’m always looking for deals, especially when it comes to certain items in my wardrobe. An example is the fact that I spent less than $100 on my outfit, shoe and handbag right here, and it felt so good. You really don’t always have to break the bank every time you shop. How do they say it again? I like to ball on a budget (LOL).
