I Took a Leap of Faith and Quit My Job

Hi guys,

I finally TOOK THE PLUNGE! Not into the water, but into my dreams and my destiny. I’m now a Full-time Influencer & Entrepreneur. So, what does this mean? It means that I have done the work to align my business with my ministry and purpose to serve people, hence they are all one and the same. But the great part is I get to do it under my own terms and in my own way that aligns with God’s will for my life, makes more impact in people’s lives and gives me more fulfillment.

My life’s journey has been very interesting. Like many people, there have been ups and downs and lots of choices that eventually brought me down this path and to this moment. This month I made a huge decision and it was a decision that I didn’t expect to happen this soon. My initial plan was to go full-time in my business at the end of 2019, but I kept on feeling restless. Although I enjoy taking care of my patients in the clinic as a Nurse Practitioner, the healthcare system can sometimes be frustrating and stressful. There was so many restrictions and bureaucracy which was trying to steal my joy and passion from what I loved and I felt like I was meant to do much more for people.

So, the moment I started preparing for IVF, I remembered that the United States doesn’t have a good system that supports mothers and family by giving them adequate maternity leave after child birth and after almost 6 years of trying to have a baby, I had to get ready and make plans for what life would be once my baby arrived next year since I was about to start IVF. Instead of doing what most people do which is to immerse themselves in their job and work a lot to save money and work on the business during the 6-8 weeks of maternity which a few people may get, God directed me to take my brand to the next level, to build a team, implement the right structures and systems for it to run efficiently and effortlessly, so I could grow, get more stable, fully maximize my potential, continue to make impact in people’s lives, create multiple streams of income and get massively compensated so I can be financially free, more independent and flexible to live my best life, my dream life for myself, my family and especially my children.

So, after many prayers and thoughts, I took the leap and went full-time into my business. As soon as I made that decision, my mindset and attitude shifted. Despite my initial fears when thinking through my choices, I felt at peace after the decision was made. Before this year started, I had a revelation, a conviction and a declaration that 2018 was going to be my year of achieving everything I wanted in terms of setting up the right foundation for every area of my life and 6 months into the year, I have already achieved it and I’m so grateful to God. In the past 6 months I became more obedient and faithful to God, I became more intentional, proactive and clear about what I wanted and learned to overcome my fears, doubts, insecurities and limitations. I learned to leverage what I had in order to get what I wanted. I learned to use my knowledge, skills, resources and talents to help other people and it also helped me grow. I am happy, healthy, growing, living my dreams and walking in faith with God, and 2018 has been my best year so far and this is only just the beginning.

Definitely, there was a process in my transformation because it didn’t happen overnight and I’ll share more about why I left my 6-figure job to fulfill my dreams. I’ll also share how I worked on my mindset and life after concluding that 2017 was one of my worst years, although now I see it that it was a blessing to challenge me and help me grow. During the last few years I explored different paths for myself and rediscovered who I was created to be, and for the first time in my life, I now know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. I am so thankful to God and I appreciate the road that brought me here because it shaped me, it taught me, it strengthened me, it helped me grow and it will also help someone else.

Soon I’ll share more details on what my fears were, how I overcame them and how I plan to earn more money now that I largely work for myself.
