How to Tie a Head Wrap – HeadWrap and Turban Styles + Tutorial

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi guys!

I’ve gotten alot of questions on how I tie and style my head wraps and today I’ll share some quick tips and a video showcasing how to create 3 quick and easy styles with an Ankara (African Wax Print) head wrap. This is PART 1, so more styles and looks will be coming on the blog and my Youtube Channel. So Subscribe to get updates.

I love head wraps because they are great for a bad hair day but also because I feel beautiful and regal in them. To me, it looks and feels like a crown and since it’s a big part of my African heritage, I feel like an African Queen. What do you think? Have you worn them before?

4 Easy Steps to Tie a Head Wrap

  1. Get a scarf or turban (or 2).
  2. Fold it and wrap it around your head.
  3. Tie, Twist and Tuck it to the front, side or back.
  4. Hold your head up high and position your crown.
