The Ankara Dress and the Tutu Skirt
It’s such a beautiful day to share my Ankara and Tutu look. I’m always thinking of different ways to style my outfits so I’m able to wear an item for almost any occasion. I’m also inspired by prints, colors and vintage styles which I incorporate in a lot of my looks. This Ankara top is actually a casual off the shoulder shift dress, with elastic detail around the shoulder and sleeves. I decided to rock it as a top with a black tutu skirt to dress it up and paired it together because I love to mix different types of fabrics and textures. I enhanced my look and accentuated my waist and silhouette by adding the belt to give it a vintage look.
Next, I wore nude pumps and accessorized with pearls and rose gold jewelry to complete my classy look, and my favorite Mary Francis clutch was the perfect purse for such a unique look. This can be worn to a formal event like a wedding or cocktail party because it’s elegant but yet sassy and unique. To dress it down, you can change the accessories to something more casual and wear flats. For an entirely different look, you can also split the outfit and rock the Tutu skirt with a T-shirt and sneakers, and wear the Ankara dress with sandals.
