The Dazzle in the Details
Hi! I hope you’re having a beautiful week.
Midi dresses are a must have in every woman’s closet because it always looks so chic and complements different body types. The midi style can come in different fits, from a flare, to a loose or form fit based on the look you’re creating. I got this gorgeous dress from Asos and the mid-section detail is great for a more comfortable fit especially if you’re trying to keep your 6 pack abs in check like me. Also, the slit makes the dress more fun and sassy. For a casual look, you can wear flats or sneakers, but I decided to wear sling back pumps for a more formal but sexier look which works perfectly for a date or cocktail event. Since I wore a simple grey dress, I decided to create a contrast by wearing a colorful (orange and purple) print shoes from Shoedazzle and a multicolored beaded handbag which I purchased from The Corner in St. Tropez. As for my jewelry, my earrings were from Barami in New York City which was right next to my hotel when I visited about a month ago, and my necklace is a statement piece which my mum bought during one of her many trips.
I also accessorized by wearing a faux fur vest. Layering is a great style tip especially as it gets cooler this November. I try to layer with jackets, vests, sweaters, shirts etc… What I love about this style is, it allows you to continue to wear your Spring/Summer clothes during Fall so you don’t need to get a whole new wardrobe. Also it’s great because it’s comfortable and you can sometimes take off an item of clothing if the weather suddenly warms up like it does here in Houston.
