Hello Style Lovers,
Hope your week is great, hope your checking things off your “To Do List” and hope your kicking ass while doing it. The last few weeks have been very busy for me and I was just in survival mode which is go, go go. But finally my schedule is easing up and I’m reminding myself to focus. A big way I do that and maintain my equilibrium is by reflecting and meditating. So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stressed, rushed just do these things.
- STOP and stay in the moment.
- Close your eyes, concentrate on your breathing and take a deep breath.
- Reflect on your passion, your purpose, the fragility of life and be aware of the gift you have.
- Think of your goals and priorities and FOCUS.
- Think of the lessons you’ve learned and how to use them.
So that’s one of the things I do to focus and maintain a balance and peace within myself. Another thing that helps is anticipating my next time off, holiday or vacation which is in a few days. July 4th holiday is in a few days and I plan to rest and have fun with family and friends. I also plan to gently explore and connect with new people and happily count my blessings.
For the holiday weekend one of my looks which can easily be recreated is my Afro American look with a red gingham top, blue jeans, red and blue polka dot Ankara head wrap and wedges. I wanted a casual look that was trendy but still a classic and timeless which is what jeans, gingham and polka dot prints have been. Also, I wanted an outfit that was perfect for most events over the holiday like a picnic, carnival, cookout etc. Style and comfort is the name of the game.
I hope you love my look. You can shop using my links below and most of these items are on SALE. Have a great week!
